The Alpaca Matters Field Days is open to all alpaca breeders in the five state region consisting of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. The weekend is designed to provide the public an opportunity to visit alpaca farms and learn about alpacas and their beautiful fiber. To participate in the Farm Field Education Weekend, each farm is encouraged to offer workshops and educational information to the public. The content is up to each farm and may include handouts, demonstrations, or workshops. Possible topics might include: farm set up, how to find a vet, spinning alpaca fiber, basic care of alpacas, etc. The website, will list all participating farms and their workshops.
